Sakshi received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mumbai, India. She is passionate about kinesiology and is pursuing her Masters in Exercise Science from Long Island University, Brooklyn. She Graduated from Terna Physiotherapy College, Navi Mumbai University: Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS).
In her final research project Titled “Assessment of hamstring muscle length in young adults using YMCA sit and reach test and its correlation with the measure of the hip joint angle with a bubble inclinometer” Sakshi assessed Hamstring muscle flexibility using the YMCA sit and reach test and at the same time the hip joint angle was measured by placing the bubble inclinometer at the S1 level to find out the influence of the hip joint angle on the sit and reach test score.
Sakshi has significant experience working at orthopedic hospitals, Srushti Orthotech hospital, Mumbai, India along with outpatient physiotherapy clinic- Physio for all, Mumbai, India and doing home visits.
Sakshi has completed numerous Workshops and seminars relating to Neurodevelopmental techniques including Bobath and adult hemiplegia along with Manual therapy workshops conducted by Capri Institute of Manual Therapy at World Ayush Expo 2019, Aug’19. Sakshi is Certified in Kinesiology taping taping module 1 & 2 (Basic and advanced fundamentals).
Along with her professional achievements she was also member of the PR committee in her college council for 2 years. She successfully organized and attended various meetings with the sponsors and participated in poster making competitions on awareness of physiotherapy winning two consecutive years.
Sakshi is an active participant in cultural events during college festivals and in organizing sports and cultural events. She is also an avid community participant haing been a part of an NGO Switch India as a volunteer, that provides free medical services to the underprivileged people. Moreover she Volunteered and participated in camps and rallies for spreading awareness about physical therapy awareness.
